Dr. Dale Hynd, the owner of Deutsche Hydrapro, has always been passionate about engineering, thanks to his family's involvement in the Australian trailer industry. While studying in the UK, he faced a challenge: the available brake actuators for trailers were inefficient and unreliable. Determined to find a solution, he began designing his own pump. He spent countless nights in his small dorm room sketching, prototyping, and refining his design.

Dr. Hynd had a specific European manufacturer in mind, renowned for its precision engineering. Confident in his design, he reached out to them, hoping to secure a partnership. To his dismay, they refused to meet with him, dismissing his innovative idea as unworthy of their time.

Undeterred, Dr. Hynd rallied twelve of his closest engineering colleagues. They pooled their resources and booked flights to the manufacturer's corporate headquarters. Upon arrival, they stationed themselves in the lobby and refused to leave until they were granted a meeting.

The manufacturer’s engineers, curious about the persistence and confidence of these young engineers, reluctantly agreed to a brief meeting. As Dr. Hynd and his team presented their design, the reluctance turned to admiration. The engineers were impressed by the pump's ingenuity, efficiency, and potential.

The manufacturer, recognizing the brilliance of the design, agreed to produce the pump. This pivotal moment marked the birth of Deutsche (an ode to the pump manufacturer) Hydrapro. Dr. Hynd and his colleagues returned to the UK, and their dream is a reality. Upon finishing school, he established the company just outside of Melbourne, Australia, dedicated to providing high-quality Electric Over Hydraulic (EOH) brake actuators for trailers.

Today, Deutsche Hydrapro is a leader in the industry, known for innovation, quality, and reliability. The company’s journey from a dorm room project to a leading manufacturer is a testament to the power of determination, teamwork, and unwavering belief in one’s vision.
